INSPIRE Project Final Conference: Advancing Skills for Hydrogen Pipeline Welding Inspection

The INSPIRE – Revolutionising Training in Welding Inspection for Hydrogen Pipelines project is approaching its final milestone, and we are pleased to invite you to discover the results of our work!

On 20 October 2026, join us at Hotel Eurostars Universal Lisboa, in Lisbon, Portugal, for the INSPIRE Final Conference. As part of “People at the Centre of Industrial Transformation: Remanufacturing and Artificial Intelligence”, connected to Professionals of the Future III, INSPIRE will showcase its achievements in developing innovative training solutions for hydrogen pipeline welding inspection.

Over the course of the project, partners have worked together to address emerging skills needs in the hydrogen sector, supporting the development of specialised competences and modern learning approaches.

During the conference, you will have the opportunity to:
🔹 Discover the training resources and learning solutions developed by INSPIRE.
🔹 Explore how innovative technologies can support welding inspection training.
🔹 Learn about the project's pilot activities and their contribution to validating the training approach.
🔹 Discuss the importance of qualified professionals in supporting the transition towards a hydrogen-based economy.

The energy transition depends not only on new technologies, but also on the people and skills needed to implement them safely and effectively.

Join us in Lisbon as we share the project's results and reflect on the future of skills development in the hydrogen sector!

This event is part of the European Skills & VET Week 2026 , an initiative of the European Commission organised by Cedefop .
